NotyLibrary is the research workspace behind NotyLab. Instead of treating every image, chart and analysis as an unrelated file, it organizes work as Project → Sample → Asset and keeps tool outputs connected to the source material they came from. That structure makes it easier to return to an analysis weeks later and still understand what belongs together.

Organize by project and sample

Create a research project, add its samples and attach the assets that belong to each one. Projects can carry a research area, description and tags; samples can record material, treatment, condition and tags. This gives each result a scientific home instead of relying only on filenames.

Store more than raw files

Library assets can represent images, data files, documents, calibrations, measurements, phase results, thermal-spray results, charts, panels, reports, final figures and other NotyLab outputs. Asset status can also distinguish stages such as raw, processed, analyzed, checked, final or archived.

Save tool sessions and reopen the work

Supported tools can save session state into NotyLibrary together with source and output asset links. Saving again creates a history snapshot, allowing a specific saved version to be reopened in its owning tool when you need to continue or audit the analysis instead of reconstructing settings from memory.

Add notes, tasks and reminders to the research context

Notes can be linked to a project, sample, asset or analysis and can include checklist-style tasks, reminders, tags and attachments. Use them for decisions that would otherwise be lost in a separate notebook, such as why one field was excluded or what must be repeated before final reporting.

A short organization workflow

  1. Create the project and samples before importing a large set of assets.
  2. Add images or data to the sample they actually represent and fill only the metadata you can verify.
  3. Save supported analysis sessions and results back to NotyLibrary instead of relying only on downloaded exports.
  4. Use search, filters, notes and version history to find the context you need before reopening or comparing work.

What this structure improves

A consistent project and sample structure improves traceability between input data, calibrations, analysis sessions and final outputs. It also lets other NotyLab tools choose existing library assets directly, reducing duplicate imports and helping comparisons use the intended samples.

Organization limits to keep in mind

  • Good structure still depends on meaningful project, sample and asset names; the library cannot infer missing experimental context reliably.
  • A saved tool session preserves application state, but it does not replace the original instrument file or laboratory record.
  • When files are moved, deleted or externally changed, verify that the library asset still points to the intended source.
  • Use your laboratory or institutional backup policy for irreplaceable research data.
