Review the coating
- Open the cross-section and confirm calibration.
- Define coating layers and inspect the boundaries.
- Review thickness profiles and their summary.
- Inspect porosity masks and pore morphology against the image.
- Save the result and compare samples with compatible settings.
Separate pores from preparation artifacts
Review uncertain regions manually. Pull-out, scratches and illumination changes can resemble features of interest and affect a porosity estimate.
